From humble beginnings in a small Sydney store, The Tea Centre was the bright idea of a young Swede and a young Australian. At the time, tea in Australia was little more than a soggy teabag. The gilded vision of a store filled to the ceiling with tea was bold, but it caught on.

Today we embody the magic of a European tearoom, with a commitment to quality and freshness Australians expect. We’ve stayed true to our roots: we simply sell very good tea.
